This Privacy Notice outlines Total Device Solutions Limited (TDS) practices with respect to personal information (Personal Data) collected from users who access our website at https://www.totaldevicesolutions.com/ (the Website) or otherwise share personal information with us which is processed in the course of our business.

 

We will take all reasonable means to keep your Personal Data confidential whether this is held on the computer or other media. Every member of staff working with TDS has a legal duty to keep information about you secure and confidential. This is also included in associates, contractors, licensees and partners' terms and conditions. 

Personal Data is any information by which an individual person can be identified. This includes a name, identification number, address, email address, IP address, photo, date of birth, and phone number. It also covers any factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of a person.

Processing includes collection, recording, organising, storage, adapting, retrieval, use, erasure, or destruction.

Grounds for data collection

The legal basis for the processing shall be:

  1. Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the individual is a party or to take steps at the request of the individual before entering a contract.

What information do we collect?

We collect two types of data and information: 

 

The first type of information is gathered via your use of the Website. We are not aware of the identity of an individual from which the Non-personal Information was collected. This may include your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information (e.g., type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access time.) to enhance the functionality of our Website. We may also collect information on your activity on the Website (e.g., pages viewed, online browsing, clicks, actions, etc.).


The second type of information is Personal Data, namely information that identifies an individual or may with reasonable effort identify an individual. Such information includes:

We do not rent, sell, or share Personal Data with third parties, except as described in this Privacy Notice.

  • As necessary to deliver our services. It may be necessary to share information with other Third-Party providers to provide you with the best service possible.

User Rights

You may request to: 

  1. Receive confirmation as to whether personal information concerning you is being processed and access your stored personal information.

  2. Receive a copy of personal information you directly volunteer to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. 

  3. Request rectification of your personal information that is in our control.

  4. Request erasure of your personal information subject to our legal rights

  5. Object to the processing of personal information by us. 

  6. Request to restrict processing of your personal information by us.

  7. Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
     

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to request a free copy of the information. This is known as a Subject Access Request (SAR). SARs must be in writing and accompanied by proof of your identity and address. If you want specific information e.g., a particular timeframe, please clarify this.

If someone is requesting information on your behalf, we shall need your written consent and evidence of ID for both of you.

We must provide you with the information you request within 30 days although we will endeavour to do so as soon as possible.

We have the right to charge for unreasonable requests e.g., repeated requests for the same information.

Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies.

 Retention periods will be determined on the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable opportunity.

We may rectify, replenish, or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.

We use a tool which is based on the Snowplow Analytics technology to collect information about your use of the Website. The tool collects information such as how often users access the Website, which pages they visit when they do so, etc. The tool does not collect any Personal Data and is only used by our Website hosting and operating service provider to improve the Website and services.

Third-party collection of information

To the extent you disclose your information to other parties or sites throughout the internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. This Privacy Notice does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, nor to individuals whom we do not employ or manage. This includes any of the third parties which we may disclose information to as set out in this Privacy Notice. 

How do we safeguard your information?

We take great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the Website and your Personal Data wherever stored. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorised access or abuse our Website as absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
